Soft wood
The main issue in drilling wood is assuring clean entry and exit holes and preventing burning. For drilling in soft wood it is recommended to drill with a lower rotary speed – especially due to the ejection of chips around the top and bottom of the hole and for achieving the right depth of drilling.
