The largest Peruan construction fair Excon took place between 5th and 9th October in Bogota. This year also Group Megatools participated on this fair and have shown novelties of Iskra ERO and Perles brands.
In the beginning of this year Megatools, one of the leading providers of power tools became the exclusive distributor of Perles and Iskra ERO brands in Peru.

Drilling in wood – pre-drilling

Small screws can usually be fastened in wood without pre-drilling. Large screws are fastened better, if you pre-drill a hole. Predrilling means that you drill a hole with smaller diameter in which you can fasten a screw. Advantages: it prevents crushing of soft wood; hard wood should be pre-drilled, if you want to achieve good fastening.

Hard wood
For drilling in hard wood it is recommended to drill with higher rotary speed because better cutting is achieved this way. During drilling you must empty the bore several times by pulling out the drill bit to the half of it and removing shavings. Too fast drilling in hard wood along with strong pressure on the drill bit causes burning of the wood, drilling speed must be lowered.
