For drilling in hard wood it is recommended to drill with higher rotary speed because better cutting is achieved this way. During drilling you must empty the bore several times by pulling out the drill bit to the half of it and removing shavings. Too fast drilling in hard wood along with strong pressure on the drill bit causes burning of the wood, drilling speed must be lowered.
